Sport Wagering Rules

Here at CentSports, we have rules. Not because we like em, but because sometimes you need them to keep everything FROM GOING TO CHAOS AND CONFUSION AND DEATH AND DESTRUCTION AHHH.

Anyway. These rules are subject to change whenever I say so without notice and all that other legal mumbo jumbo crap. Also, the CentSports admins have the last say on any betting dispute, and can override these rules.

Official CentSports.com Rules

  • Rules Common To All Events
    1. All sporting events must take place on the date and at the site scheduled unless otherwise specified. If an event is postponed, rescheduled, and/or relocated before it starts, that event will automatically be settled as "No Action/Push" and your money will be returned to your CentSports account.
    2. CentSports does not recognize suspended games, protests, or overturned decisions for wagering purposes. (i.e. if a win turns into a loss for a time after the official score is reported).
    3. In the case of an obvious error on a posted line, any and all single bets will be graded "Void" and all money to cover said bets will be returned to players' accounts. Parlays involving such lines will be reduced accordingly.
  • Football and Basketball
    1. Games don't have to go full regulation play for wagers to have action. This means that a football game could end at 56 minutes instead of 60 min because of extenuating circumstances and the score at 56 minutes will be the reported score. Games are official for wagering purposes according to the following:
      • Professional and college football games after 55 minutes of play.
      • Professional basketball games after 43 minutes of play.
      • College basketball games after 35 minutes of play.
      • The first half of football and basketball games must be completed entirely for first half (1H) wagers to have action.
    2. In addition to wagers on the whole game, all second half (2H) and fourth quarter (4Q) wagers include results from overtime.
  • NHL
    1. Hockey games don't have to go full regulation play for wagers to have action. Games are official for wagering purposes after 55 minutes of play.
    2. Results from Overtime are counted towards the final score.
    3. For games that require a shootout, only one goal will be awarded to the winning team when determining the final score regardless of how many goals are scored during the shootout round.
  • MLB
    1. Baseball games don't have to go full regulation play for wagers to have action. Games are official for wagering purposes according to the following:
      • Moneylines after 5 innings (4.5 innings if the home team is winning).
      • Totals/over-under after 9 innings (8.5 innings if the home team is winning).
      • Runlines after 9 innings.
      • If a baseball game is called or suspended, the winner is determined by the score after the last full inning.
      • Suspended games do not carry over to the following day (barring unique circumstances).
      • If a baseball game goes 9 or more innings and is NOT completed (e.g., suspended, rain, darkness), wagers on the runline and total still have action.
    2. Parlays involving a "No Action/Push" game or total will be reduced and the money will be reduced and the money will be refunded.
  • Soccer
    1. Soccer games don't have to go full regulation play for wagers to have action. Games are official for wagering purposes after 40 minutes of the second half have been completed.
    2. Moneyline wagers have two outcomes Ð you can pick a team to win, or you can pick a team to lose. If there is a tie in the game then the bet is lost.
    3. Unless otherwise specified, the score at the end of regulation play (90 minutes plus injury time) will be used for wagering purposes. Results from extra time, golden goals, or penalty shootouts are not included.
  • Motor Sports
    1. Unless the entire race is canceled, all bets have action (even if a competitor withdraws for some reason).
    2. The official winner (Formula 1, INDY or NASCAR) at the conclusion of the race will be used for wagering purposes.
    3. Both drivers must start the race for the bets to have action.
    4. Bets can be placed on the driver only - not on a specific car.
  • Tennis
    1. If either player retires during or before a match then the match will be settled as 'No-Action' and the money will be returned.
    2. All tournaments operate on a straight knockout basis.
    3. All wagers on head-to-head matches have action until the completion of the match, regardless of delays due to rain, darkness or any other reason.
  • Boxing
    1. Results will be initially graded or regraded based on the official result at ringside.
    2. A result may be revised or altered after the initial presentation by the ring announcer. Results are not official for wagering purposes until verified by officials at the fighting venue.
    3. Official or unofficial sanctioning body overturns of a fight decision based on appeal, suspension, lawsuit, drug testing result or any other fighter sanction will not be recognized for wagering purposes.
    4. Scoring as such:
      • When a "draw" occurs, wagers on both fighters "to win" are refunded.
      • Any fight that is deemed "no contest" will have all wagers refunded.
      • A fighter wins by "Unanimous Decision" when all three judges score him as the winner.
      • A fighter wins by "Split-Decision" when two judges score him as the winner and one judge scores the other fighter as the winner.
      • A fighter wins by "Majority Decision" when two judges score him as the winner and one judge scores the fight a draw.
      • A fight is a "Unanimous Draw" when all three judges score the fight as a draw.
      • A fight is a "Split-Decision Draw" when one judge scores the fight a draw, one judge scores the fight for one fighter, and one judge scores the fight for the other fighter.
      • A fight is a "Majority Draw" when two judges score the fight a draw and one judge scores the fight for either of the two fighters.
      • A fight is a "Technical Draw" when a fight ends before an allotted number of rounds (between three to six rounds, depending on sanctioning body rules) usually because of an accidental head-butt.
    5. When the bell sounds to begin the first round, the bout will be considered official for betting purposes, regardless of the scheduled length or title.
    6. For wagering purposes, the disqualification of a boxer during a match will be counted as a Knockout by his opponent.
