While both teams have solid offensive attacks, the Eagles have been dominate recording the 3rd most sacks (28) in the country while forcing the 4th most interceptions (13). Virginia Tech Hokies – Play Efficient & Safe
For the Hokies, the 2018 NCAA Football schedule has been much like a roller coaster ride picking up two 25 wins while falling to Old Dominion. That said, the keys to their success against the Eagles on Saturday will come with their ability to play consistent on both sides of the ball while playing safe. In all three of the Hokies losses this season, the team has converted a lower percentage of third down attempt then their opponents on offense and have allowed two of those three teams to pick up the first on more than half of their attempts. Meanwhile the team has struggled to win the turnover over battle turning the ball over more in each of the three contests.
