Here is a MLB preview of the Atlanta Braves VS New York Yankees on August 12th, 2020:
Atlanta Braves Hitting – The Braves lineup has gotten off to a slow start this season despite seeing a 11-6 overall start. After the Braves picked up back to back wins over the weekend, the team’s lineup has struggled to get on base. Despite the struggles the Braves lineup has a ton of firepower including the recent hot streak of Acuna who hit three home runs in the teams double header sweep on Sunday against the Philadelphia Phillies to move his season total to four. In addition to Acuna, the Braves have both Freeman and Ozuna with three home runs while Dansby Swanson leads the team with 13 runs batted in on the year.
New York Yankees Hitting – While the Yankees were dealt a big blow as Stanton has landed on the IR, the rest of the Yankees lineup has the talent to carry the load over the next two weeks. Entering play Monday, Judge leads the team in home runs (8), runs batted in (19) and runs scored (14). In addition to the hot play of Judge, the Yankees have seen LeMahieu get on base at a high clip to start the season as he leads the team with a .397 batting average with 23 hits to start.
Matchup Advantage – New York Yankees Hitting
Kyle Wright (0-2, 6.75 ERA), Atlanta Braves – The Braves starting pitching has been hampered by injuries to start the season. These injuries have left the Braves with a question mark over the next few games as who might start. Wright is slated to be the probable starter on Wednesday against the Yankees. Entering his potential start against the Yankees, Wright is 0-2 in three starts this season while allowing nine earned runs over his first three starts.
Jordan Montgomery (1-1, 5.59 ERA), New York Yankees – Montgomery will make his third start of the season and second against a team in the NL East. Over his first two outings, Montgomery has been really good in his first outing against the Boston Red Sox allowing just one earned run over 5 2/3 innings of work. However in his second outing of the season on August 6th against the Philadelphia Phillies, Montgomery struggled allowing five earned runs over four innings of work.

CentSports Opinion: While the Braves have the slight advantage on the mound, the Yankees offensive fire power led by Judge and LeMahieu will be too much for the Braves in their showdown on August 12th, 2020.
