Terms and Privacy
CentSports does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 18 years of age. Our recommended minimum age is 18 years.
INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE
If you send us personal correspondence such as an e-mail or a letter, we may collect such information into a file specific to you. We use the personal information in the file we maintain about you, and other information we obtain from your current and past activities on the Site to: resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, measure consumer interest in our services, reward you for the ads you watch, inform you of offers, products, services, and updates, customize your experience, detect and protect us against error, fraud and other criminal activity, enforce our User Agreement, and as otherwise described to you at the time of collection. At times, we may look across multiple users to identify problems. In particular, we may examine your personal information to identify users using multiple User IDs or aliases. We may compare and review your personal information for accuracy and to detect errors and omissions.
You agree that we may use your personal information to improve our marketing and promotional efforts, to analyze Site usage, to improve our content and offerings, and to customize the Site's content, layout, and services. These uses improve the Site and better tailor it to meet your needs, so as to provide you with a smooth, efficient, safe and customized experience while using it.
Under some circumstances, such as when awarding cash-outs, we may provide some of your information to a third party verification service to verify the accuracy of your name, address, and other information. These third parties will be bound by a confidentiality agreement. Pursuant to such confidentiality agreement, any data we provide them should be used only to verify your information, and should then be destroyed.
We automatically collect certain information about your computer hardware and software based upon your behavior on this Site. We use this information to conduct internal research on our users' demographics, interests, and behavior so as to better understand and serve them. This information may include the referring URL, the URL you next go to, the browser you use, your IP address and your access times. It is used by CentSports to maintain and improve the quality of its service and to generate statistics regarding the use of our Site, and may be shared with third parties whose services are used to analyze traffic.
In addition, CentSports may place information on your computer in the form of 'cookies' to customize your experience of CentSports's site. A 'cookie' is a small line of text that is stored within your browser when you visit a cookie-enabled website. As you browse the Web, cookie-enabled sites will send cookies to your browser, along with pages. Your browser probably has options that will let you control whether the browser accepts cookies, rejects cookies, or notifies you each time a cookie is sent to you.
If your browser is set to reject cookies, cookie-enabled websites will not recognize you when you return. This provides you with anonymity, but it also makes it very difficult to offer you customized services. It is also less secure than using cookies, because all of your specific data must be sent to the website each time you view a page. Accepting cookies means your private data can stay at the Web server, and the only information transmitted over the Internet is your ID cookie.
If your browser is set to accept cookies, any cookies that are sent to your browser are stored in your computer for a period of time. There are a few different types of cookies. A 'session' cookie is stored only in your computer's working memory (RAM) and only lasts for your browsing session. When you close all of your browser's windows, or when you shut down your computer, the session cookie disappears forever. A 'permanent' cookie is stored on your computer's hard drive until a specified date, which could be tomorrow, next week, or 10 years from now. Permanent cookies stay on your computer until either they expire, they are overwritten with newer cookies, or until you manually remove them.
We and our advertisers currently use third-party cookies and clear pixel GIFs (also referred to as 'web beacons') to measure page views on both CentSports and advertisers' web sites and email responses. These devices allow us to identify unique visitors to CentSports's site, member visits to advertisers' sites, and act as a counter for ongoing monitoring of site, email and corresponding future transaction activity related to a specific offer for both CentSports and its advertisers. These commonly used counters collect absolutely no personal information and, as always, this technology is only used to enhance the program and make it more relevant to your personal interests.
CHANGING USER INFORMATION
We offer you the ability to automatically review and change the information you submit to us by logging into our Site and entering the new information yourself. You can change your e-mail address and home address by going to the 'Account' section of the Site. You must promptly update your personal information if it changes or if it is inaccurate. Upon your request, we will deactivate or delete your account and contact information from our active databases. Such information will be deactivated or deleted as soon as practicable based on your account activity and accordance with our deactivation policy and applicable law. To make this request, e-mail us here.
We will retain in our files some personal information to prevent fraud, to troubleshoot problems, to assist with any investigations, to enforce our User Agreement and to comply with legal requirements as is permitted by law. Therefore, you should not expect that all your personal information will be completely removed from our databases in response to your requests.
OTHER INFORMATION COLLECTORS AND LINKS
We cannot ensure that all of your private communications and other personally identifiable information will never be disclosed in ways not otherwise described in this Privacy Agreement. By way of example (without limiting the foregoing), we may be forced to disclose information to the government or third parties under certain circumstances, and third parties may unlawfully intercept or access transmissions or private communications.
Users are allowed to maintain one (1) active membership account. Upon signing up for our membership, the Site will send an e-mail to the e-mail address you provided during registration to establish that the new account is valid. Accounts with invalid e-mail addresses will not be able to use all of the Site's features. In addition, we reserve the right to withhold activity on the Site until verification has been completed. We may also verify the information you provide with third party verification services. If any of the information you have provided is shown to be inaccurate, we reserve the right to de-activate your account and withhold all past and current earnings.
SITE AND SERVICE UPDATES
We will send users site and service announcement updates. Members cannot un-subscribe from service announcements, which contain important information about the service. We communicate with users via e-mail to provide requested services and in regards to issues relating to the account.
NOTIFICATION OF CHANGES
We treat data as an asset that must be protected against loss and unauthorized access, and employ many different security techniques to protect such data from unauthorized access by users, both inside and outside the company. Your information is stored on CentSports servers, which are located in the United States. We use procedural and technical safeguards including encryption, 'firewalls' and Secure Socket Layers to protect your personal information against loss or theft as well as against unauthorized access and disclosure. Although we have taken significant precautions to protect your information, it is impossible to provide 'perfect' security.
